Maya Day in Year 5 – 3rd April 2019
Year 5 have been studying the Ancient Maya Civilization this half term.
To consolidate their learning, they had a ‘Maya experience’ day yesterday. Children dressed up in Maya clothing and took part in activities such as Maya mask making, Maya maths and also Maya research using an interactive app on the Ipads. They also took part in chocolate drink tasting using ground cacao beans and different flavourings (some flavours were more popular than others.)
A big thankyou to Mrs Ascroft for helping out on the day. As you can see from the photos, a fantastic time was had by all!!
